What is Meniere’s disease?<\/h2>\n

One Mb. Meni\u00e8re’s is a disease characterized by acute attacks of vertigo<\/strong> accompanied by hearing loss<\/strong> and tinnitus<\/strong>. The dizzy spells last from minutes to hours and may be accompanied by nausea and vomiting.

What are the causes of Meniere’s disease?<\/h2>\n

The exact cause is unknown. The symptoms are caused by a build-up of inner ear fluid<\/strong>, which leads to damage to hearing and balance cells.<\/p>\n

How is it treated?<\/h2>\n

The first step is drug treatment<\/strong>. If this is not sufficient, freedom from vertigo can be achieved through surgery<\/strong>. In most cases, hearing can be preserved.<\/p>\n
